pppExtIfMlpFragmentation

Module: BIANCA-BRICK-PPP-MIB

OID (symbolic): BIANCA-BRICK-PPP-MIB::pppExtIfMlpFragmentation

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.272.4.3.9.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The multilink PPP fragmentation mode. When set to proportional (1) packets will be divided into fragments proportional to the transmission rate of each link, when set to equal (2) packets will be divided into multiple equal fragments (equal to MlpFragSize) such that the number sent on each link is proportional to the transmission rate. When set to interleave (3), large datagrams will be fragmentated (maximum size determined by MlpFragSize) to reduce transmission delay of high-priority traffic on slower links.

What is pppExtIfMlpFragmentation?

This read-write object selects how Multilink PPP splits packets across bundled links: proportional divides a packet into fragments sized to each link's transmission rate, equal splits into fixed-size fragments (per pppExtIfMlpFragSize), and interleave fragments only large datagrams to reduce delay for higher-priority traffic on slower links.
