What is ipHostsAliveDownAction?
This OID specifies what action the device takes if a monitored host becomes unreachable: up(1), down(2), or delete(3). It defines the automated response to host failure detection. Example: setting to down(2) puts a failover interface into 'down' state when the monitored gateway becomes unreachable.
