Module: BGP4-MIB
OID (symbolic): BGP4-MIB::bgpPeerLastError
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.14
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-only
Description: The last error code and subcode seen by this peer on this connection. If no error has occurred, this field is zero. Otherwise, the first byte of this two byte OCTET STRING contains the error code, and the second byte contains the subcode.
What is bgpPeerLastError?
This OCTET STRING (2 bytes) stores the last error code and subcode; zero indicates no error. The first byte is the error code (e.g., 1=Message Header Error), the second is the subcode. Example: a value of 3/0 means an UPDATE message error; 2/4 indicates a hold timer expired.
