Module: BGP4-MIB
OID (symbolic): BGP4-MIB::bgpPeerKeepAlive
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.19
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-only
Description: Time interval (in seconds) for the KeepAlive timer established with the peer. The value of this object is calculated by this BGP speaker such that, when compared with bgpPeerHoldTime, it has the same proportion that bgpPeerKeepAliveConfigured has, compared with bgpPeerHoldTimeConfigured.
If the KeepAlive timer has not been established with the peer, this object MUST have a value of zero (0).
If the of bgpPeerKeepAliveConfigured object has a value of (0), then this object MUST have a value of (0).
What is bgpPeerKeepAlive?
This Integer32 (0 or 1-21845 seconds) is the keepalive interval negotiated with the peer. Example: a keepAlive of 60 seconds means keepalive packets are sent every minute to keep the session alive.
