Description: The set of ASes that must be traversed to reach the network. This object is probably best represented as SEQUENCE OF INTEGER. For SMI compatibility, though, it is represented as OCTET STRING. Each AS is represented as a pair of octets according to the following algorithm:

first-byte-of-pair = ASNumber / 256; second-byte-of-pair = ASNumber & 255;

What is bgpPathAttrASPath?

This OCTET STRING (2-255 bytes) encodes the sequence of ASes that must be traversed to reach the destination, formatted as pairs of octets. Example: containing bytes representing ASes 65001, 65002, 65003 means the route traverses through those three autonomous systems.
