clusterSecureReplicationEnabled

Module: BEA-WEBLOGIC-MIB

OID (symbolic): BEA-WEBLOGIC-MIB::clusterSecureReplicationEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.140.625.510.1.67

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: Servers in a cluster replicates session data. If replication channel is defined then the session data will be sent using the replication channel protocol and secured replication settings will be ignored. If no replication channel is defined and secured replication is enabled then session data for in-memory replication will be sent over SSL using default secured channel. However, this added security for replication traffic comes with a significant cluster performance degradation. It should only be enabled if security is of greater concern than the performance degradation.

What is clusterSecureReplicationEnabled?

This boolean enables SSL encryption for session replication traffic between cluster members. When true, session data sent for backup is encrypted, protecting sensitive session data from network eavesdropping. However, this adds CPU overhead during replication.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.140.625.510.1.67
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> BEA-WEBLOGIC-MIB::clusterSecureReplicationEnabled

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.140.625.510.1.67.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> BEA-WEBLOGIC-MIB::clusterSecureReplicationEnabled.1
