What is applicationIndex?

This is a unique index value derived from the application's JMX object name, used to identify the application within SNMP table queries. It enables SNMP tools to distinguish between different deployed applications on the domain. For example, an index of 'OrderService' allows queries like 'get applicationStatus for applicationIndex=OrderService'.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.140.625.500.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> BEA-WEBLOGIC-MIB::applicationIndex

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.140.625.500.1.1.1
