Module: BDCOM-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): BDCOM-IF-MIB::vifType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3320.9.63.1.1.1.3

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The type of Voice interface, distinguished according to the physical/link protocol(s) immediately `below' the network layer in the protocol stack.

What is vifType?

This enumeration specifies the voice interface physical type: other(1), voiceEM(100), voiceFXO(101), or voiceFXS(102), determining which telephony signaling protocol is used. Operators use it to understand voice circuit type. Example: vifType = voiceFXS(102) indicates this is an FXS (Foreign eXchange Station) interface connecting to standard analog phones or PBXs.
