Description: What to do about packets we're asked to relay that already have a relay option: forward_and_append, /* Forward and append our own relay option. */ forward_and_replace, /* Forward, but replace theirs with ours. */ forward_untouched, /* Forward without changes. */ discard } agent_relay_mode = forward_and_replace

What is basDhcpRelayAgentRelayMode?

A configuration setting that controls how the relay agent handles incoming DHCP packets that already contain a Relay Agent Information option, offering modes such as forward-and-append (add its own option alongside the existing one), forward-and-replace (overwrite the existing option), or forward-untouched (leave the packet unchanged). Selecting the correct mode is important for proper Option 82 handling in multi-hop relay deployments.
