Description: VPN Password Permissions. This variable returns 1 if the password may be alphanumeric and is to be stored in non-volatile memory as the value of NVVPNPSWD, 2 if the password may be alphanumeric and is to be stored in volatile memory that will be cleared when the telephone resets, 3 if the password may be numeric-only and is to be stored in volatile memory that will be cleared mmediately after the first time the password is used (this is for use with numeric-only one-time token devices), 4 if the password may be alphanumeric and is to be stored in volatile memory that will be cleared immediately after the first time the password is used, and 5 if the password may be alphanumeric and is to be stored in volatile memory that is cleared when the user invokes VPN Sleep Mode and when the telephone resets.
What is endptPSWDTYPE?
Describes the VPN password storage and format policy in effect on the telephone, returning a code that indicates whether the password is alphanumeric stored in non-volatile memory, alphanumeric stored in volatile memory (cleared on reset), or another permitted type. This allows monitoring of password security posture across Avaya 96xx endpoints.
