avWlanSystemConfigTcpUdpBasePort

Module: AVAYA-WLAN-SYSTEM-MIB

OID (symbolic): AVAYA-WLAN-SYSTEM-MIB::avWlanSystemConfigTcpUdpBasePort

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.7.16.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetPortNumber

Access: read-write

Description: All WLAN System Protocols (e.g. AP, MS, WC control channel, access and mobility tunnels etc.) use different TCP and UDP port numbers. These ports are based at different fixed offsets from a base port allowing administrator to create simple firewall rules by opening a contiguous ip port range for WLAN communication. Currently a range of 16 ports starting from this base port will be used. The base port must be same on all WCs and/or MS in a domain. This is an optional configuration and all WCs can be left operating at the default value. Changing this configuration will require to disable and enable wireless feature.

What is avWlanSystemConfigTcpUdpBasePort?

Defines the base port number from which all WLAN protocol port numbers are derived using fixed offsets, covering AP control, MS communication, and mobility tunnels. Setting a single base port simplifies firewall configuration by allowing a contiguous port range to be opened.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.7.16.1.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> AVAYA-WLAN-SYSTEM-MIB::avWlanSystemConfigTcpUdpBasePort

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.7.16.1.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> AVAYA-WLAN-SYSTEM-MIB::avWlanSystemConfigTcpUdpBasePort.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.7.16.1.1.1.4.1 s <value>
