eqpFwEqpType

Module: ADVA-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADVA-MIB::eqpFwEqpType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.2.5.6.1.13

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: FspR7EquipmentType

Access: read-write

Description:

The TYPE of Equipment and the MODE setting determine uniquely the number and allowed TYPE's of the provisionable dependent entities (plugs, interfaces, modules)

What is eqpFwEqpType?

This object specifies the equipment type and mode of the optical line card, which together determine how many and what types of dependent interfaces (pluggable modules or sub-interfaces) can be provisioned on that card. Different equipment types support different maximum channel counts and module types. Operators set and verify this value during initial system configuration to ensure the card is configured for the correct application (e.g., 10G transponder vs. 40G muxponder).
