Module: ADVA-FSPR7-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADVA-FSPR7-MIB::opticalMuxAlsMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.11.7.3.6.1.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: FspR7AlsMode

Access: read-create

Description: Determines the reaction in backward direction in response to a LOS on the same Interface: on a Network Interface connected to the DWDM this is a matter of laser safety

What is opticalMuxAlsMode?

Reports a boolean (on/off) or enumerated state controlling whether Automatic Laser Shutdown (ALS) is enabled in response to loss-of-signal on the same interface. In DWDM systems, this provides laser safety compliance by preventing uncontrolled laser transmission during fiber breaks. Example: 1 (on) disables laser output within 20 milliseconds of LOS detection.
