What is alarmSignalDegradeOtu?
This OID is a notification (alert) that fires when the optical signal quality on an OTU (Optical Transmission Unit) port drops below a configured threshold. The presence of this alarm indicates the optical connection is getting weaker and risks going offline soon. A network operator would watch for this alert to replace faulty cables, move fiber connections, or schedule maintenance before the link fails completely.
