What is alarmLossOfCharSyncFromFarEnd?

This is a notification (trap) that is sent when the receiving equipment loses character-level synchronization with the incoming signal from the remote end. It indicates a serious physical layer issue that prevents proper frame delineation and data recovery. Network operators immediately investigate this alarm as it represents a complete loss of usable signal from the remote device and requires immediate action to restore synchronization.
