Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description:
ODU Locked
What is alarmLockedDefectOdu?
This OID represents an SNMP trap (alert) that fires when an optical transport network connection becomes locked or loses synchronization. ODU (Optical Data Unit) is the standardized container for data in optical networks, and loss of lock means the signal is corrupted. A monitoring system would listen for this alert to page network engineers immediately when a critical optical link fails.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' ADVA-FSPR7-MIB::alarmLockedDefectOdu snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.11.7.5.0.153
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
