What is alarmChromaticDispersionTooLow?
This notification is triggered when the chromatic dispersion measured on an optical link drops below acceptable thresholds, which can degrade signal quality. Chromatic dispersion is a fundamental optical phenomenon where different wavelengths travel at different speeds through fiber, and insufficient dispersion compensation can cause signal degradation. An operator monitoring optical transport systems would use this alarm to identify and correct dispersion compensation issues before they impact traffic.
