Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::virtualUNIIlmiRetryK

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.19.1.44

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Retry K - number of timeouts before link is declared down.

What is virtualUNIIlmiRetryK?

This OID specifies how many consecutive timeout responses the interface must receive before deciding the remote peer is unreachable and declaring the link down. Network engineers adjust this to tolerate occasional packet loss or network jitter without immediately assuming the link has failed, improving stability in noisy network conditions. A value of 4 means the interface will wait for 4 consecutive unanswered keepalive probes before marking the peer as down, giving transient network issues a chance to recover.
