siteSwitchIpAddr

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::siteSwitchIpAddr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.1.43

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: IP Address for communication with the switch, regardless of which cpu is primary.

What is siteSwitchIpAddr?

This OID stores the IP address used to manage and communicate with the switch, regardless of which CPU (primary or secondary) is currently active. Network engineers configure this to provide a single stable address for device management during failover scenarios. For example, setting it to 10.0.0.50 ensures administrators can always reach the switch at that IP address for SNMP queries and configuration, even if the primary CPU fails over.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.1.43
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::siteSwitchIpAddr

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.1.43.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::siteSwitchIpAddr.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.1.43.1 a <value>
