routerIpNetworkMask

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::routerIpNetworkMask

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.10.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: An IP network mask for an IP interface within a given router (VPN)

What is routerIpNetworkMask?

This OID stores the subnet mask that defines which IP addresses are local to this router's network segment versus remote. The mask is critical because the router uses it to decide whether to forward traffic directly or send it to a gateway. Setting it to 255.255.255.0 creates a /24 network allowing 254 usable host addresses.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.10.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::routerIpNetworkMask

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.10.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::routerIpNetworkMask.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.10.1.5.1 a <value>
