resetInterfaceStatistics

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::resetInterfaceStatistics

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.16.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IntfIndex

Access: read-write

Description: Reset the interface counters for the given port Id (SSPPCCC)

What is resetInterfaceStatistics?

This OID resets the cumulative counters tracking packets, bytes, and errors on a specific network interface. Administrators use this to clear historical statistics when upgrading monitoring baselines or when you want to isolate traffic data to a specific time window. Resetting interface 2 would zero out the byte counters and error counts for that interface to provide a fresh measurement point.
