portId

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::portId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.15.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: Port ID used for identification in traps. Number value is interpreted as a port of the form, SSPP, where SS is the card slot and PP is the port number.

What is portId?

This read-only 32-bit integer uniquely identifies which physical port on the device is involved in a trap notification, encoded as SSPP where SS is the slot number and PP is the port number within that slot. Engineers need to quickly map abstract port numbers to physical hardware locations for field service or cable tracing. For example, portId=2503 decodes to slot 25, port 03, telling the technician exactly which network interface card and connector to inspect.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::portId

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.15.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::portId.1
