oamDebouncingPeriod

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::oamDebouncingPeriod

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.1.46

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Debouncing period in milli seconds for clearing AIS/RDI state.

What is oamDebouncingPeriod?

This OID configures the wait time in milliseconds (ranging from 1000 to 300000 ms, or 1 to 300 seconds) before the switch clears alarm states like AIS (Alarm Indication Signal) or RDI (Remote Defect Indicator). Engineers adjust this to prevent false alarm flapping when temporary link glitches occur. For example, setting it to 5000 means the switch waits 5 seconds of stable conditions before clearing an alarm, avoiding unnecessary notifications from brief outages.
