This read-only OID shows the activation status of segment (hop-by-hop) performance monitoring at the source endpoint. You check this when monitoring a portion of the path rather than end-to-end, for example if you only need to monitor the first segment of a multi-hop connection. A status of "active" confirms segment monitoring is working at the source.
