lineStatus

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::lineStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.15.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: Bit map of the status of a line connected to a port.

What is lineStatus?

This read-only 32-bit bitmap represents the operational status of a line (circuit or link) that is connected to a port, with individual bits flagging conditions like 'up,' 'down,' or alarm states. Monitoring this helps engineers detect subtle issues affecting a connection before it goes completely offline, like persistent bit errors. A value of 0x0001 might mean the line is up and active, while 0x0008 might indicate a loss-of-signal alarm.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.15.7
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::lineStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.15.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::lineStatus.1
