iptProtCommand
Module: ACMIB
OID (symbolic): ACMIB::iptProtCommand
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.29.2.1.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: protection operational state of the interface. Indicates which logical interface is carrying traffic originally configured for this interface.
What is iptProtCommand?
This OID allows manual control of protection operations such as forced switchover or recovery. An engineer uses this to manually trigger failover when automatic operation is not appropriate or in test scenarios. For example, sending 'forcedSwitch' immediately moves traffic to the standby regardless of the primary's status.
