This is the high-order 32 bits of a 64-bit counter for valid ATM cells received on side B, paired with the low word for complete accounting. Like side A, this split-word approach allows tracking very large cell counts for billing accuracy. A value of 23456 in the high word represents the major portion of total cells arriving on side B.
