What is hdlcOperStatus?

This read-only OID shows the current operational state (in service or out of service) of an HDLC interface in the network. Network engineers check this to confirm that HDLC links are active or to troubleshoot why a link isn't responding. For example, if this shows 'outOfService' when you expect traffic, you know the HDLC link is down.
