Description: TMC-Channel Number. If TMC Channel is set to 0 there will be no TMC channel on the corresponding DS1. Generally the TMC channel should be specified on the one of the DS1's in a GR303 interface group and should be on DS0 no. 24
What is gr303TMCChannelId?
This OID assigns a timeslot (0-24) on a GR303 digital trunk to carry the TMC (Trunk Management Channel) data, with 0 meaning no TMC channel is used. Network engineers configure this to designate one DS1 in a GR303 group to carry out-of-band management traffic, typically using timeslot 24 to avoid interference with voice calls. Setting this to 24 on one of the DS1s in your GR303 group reserves timeslot 24 for TMC messages, while the other DS1s in the group use all 24 timeslots for voice.
