e1DataTransferType

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::e1DataTransferType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.2.12.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: E1 data transfer type is only applicable in Circuit Emulation where unstructured CE packets entire T1 frame including the F-bit into the AAL1 for data tranfer, whereas, the structured CE packets the entire E1 frame except the Frame alignment signal channel.

What is e1DataTransferType?

Controls how E1 data is packaged and transferred in Circuit Emulation mode, choosing between unstructured (entire frame with F-bit) and structured (frame without alignment signals) packet formats. This setting affects how your network equipment handles E1 traffic conversion to ATM/AAL1, so you need to match it to your circuit emulation requirements. Example: Setting it to "structured" means the device will strip out frame alignment signals before encapsulation, reducing overhead by approximately 0.5%.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.2.12.1.11
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::e1DataTransferType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.2.12.1.11.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::e1DataTransferType.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.2.12.1.11.1 i <value>
