What is dspChannelVoiceCompression?
This OID configures the compression codec the DSP channel applies to voice signals (e.g., G.729, G.711, G.726). Engineers choose the codec based on bandwidth constraints and quality requirements for their voice service. For example, selecting G.729A compresses voice to 8 kbps with acceptable quality, allowing four times more simultaneous calls compared to uncompressed G.711.
