This OID tracks the high-order 32 bits of the count of ATM cells transmitted from the I/O port to external media. Network engineers check this value to verify the port is successfully sending cells out to the external network at expected rates. A high-order value of 9000 with low-order bits indicates the port has transmitted quadrillions of cells.
