This OID tracks the high-order 32 bits of the total number of valid cells received and properly decoded on the input side of an ATM circuit. Network engineers monitor this counter to verify incoming traffic is being processed correctly and to validate inbound cell-level billing records. Combined with the low-order counter, a high-order value of 10 represents tens of billions of cells successfully received on this virtual circuit.
