This OID selects the echo cancellation algorithm applied to the A-to-B voice stream, which removes feedback that allows both parties to hear themselves. Network engineers configure this during voice circuit setup to ensure call quality by eliminating the annoying echo that occurs when voice bounces back in the connection.
