casProtocolType

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::casProtocolType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.20.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The type of CAS protocol to be used. The protocol must match the one used on the other end of the trunk/line.

What is casProtocolType?

This OID specifies which CAS protocol variant the trunk uses, such as "Wink Start," "Immediate Start," or "ITU-T R2," determining the signaling sequence for setting up calls. Network engineers configure this to match the protocol spoken by the remote equipment; mismatches prevent call setup and are a common cause of trunk failures. If the far end uses "ITU-T R2," you must set this to "ITU-T R2" as well, or call setup will fail when the local switch tries to use "Wink Start" signaling.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.20.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::casProtocolType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.20.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::casProtocolType.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.20.1.1.4.1 i <value>
