casDirection
Module: ACMIB
OID (symbolic): ACMIB::casDirection
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.20.1.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The direction of traffic flow on this CAS trunk/line.
What is casDirection?
This OID defines whether the trunk carries inbound calls, outbound calls, or bidirectional traffic, controlling which side initiates new connections. Network engineers set this based on your peering agreement; an "inbound only" trunk may come from a carrier, while "outbound only" may go to the PSTN. A trunk set to "bidirectional" accepts incoming calls from the peer and allows you to send outgoing calls to the peer, providing maximum flexibility for a mutual peer connection.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.20.1.1.5 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::casDirection
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.20.1.1.5.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::casDirection.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.20.1.1.5.1 i <value>
