atmUniSvcMaxVpi

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::atmUniSvcMaxVpi

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The upper bound of the VPI for SVC connections.

What is atmUniSvcMaxVpi?

This OID sets the highest Virtual Path Identifier (VPI) value that can be assigned to an SVC connection on the UNI. Network engineers use this to limit the range of VPIs available for dynamic connections and ensure consistency across the network. For example, setting to 240 prevents SVC allocation above VPI 240, leaving VPIs 241-255 reserved for future expansion or special purposes.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::atmUniSvcMaxVpi

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::atmUniSvcMaxVpi.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.1.1.4.1 i <value>
