Description: The IP address of the neighbor system connected to the far end of this interface, to which a Network Management Station can send SNMP messages, as IP datagrams sent to UDP port 161, in order to access network management information concerning the operation of that system. Note that the value of this object can currently only be obtained by manual configuration.
What is atmUniMyNeighborIpAddress?
This OID stores the IP address of the neighboring ATM system located at the far end of this interface so management stations can send SNMP queries to it. Network administrators configure this to enable remote management of the neighbor ATM device and monitor its operational status from a central management platform. A value of 192.168.1.5 would direct SNMP management traffic to the management interface of the neighbor equipment.
