What is atmPvcVccStatsOamAisTxA?
This OID counts the number of ATM Alarm Indication Signal (AIS) cells transmitted in the A-to-B direction, a special OAM (Operations, Administration, Maintenance) cell type that signals a downstream equipment or link fault. Network operators monitor this counter to detect when their equipment is actively alarming the far end about a problem, which is a critical diagnostic tool for multi-hop circuits. For instance, a sudden spike in this counter means the local equipment just detected a serious condition and is warning downstream nodes.
