atmPvcVccOamStatus

Module: ACMIB

OID (symbolic): ACMIB::atmPvcVccOamStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.6.1.1.26

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates the OAM monitoring status of side A. The 5 possible states are: Unsupp: No monitoring enabled. End-Pt: A side is only an end point, therefore it will respond to AIS/RDI. Seg-Pt: A side is only a segment point, therefore it will only respond to maintenance OAM cells and not fault cells. End-Seg-Pt: A side is both an end point and a segment point. Intermediate-Pt: It will only generate AIS during local failure.

For ATM-to-ATM connections the OAM status will be symmetric on both sides of the connection.

What is atmPvcVccOamStatus?

This OID configures the Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) cell monitoring mode for side A of the connection, such as end-point or segment-point monitoring. A network engineer sets this to enable proactive monitoring and automatic failure detection on the circuit. For example, selecting End-Pt mode means the device responds to OAM loopback and alarm cells, allowing remote testing to confirm the connection is working end-to-end.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.6.1.1.26
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::atmPvcVccOamStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.6.1.1.26.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::atmPvcVccOamStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.6.1.1.26.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> atmPvcVccOamStatus.1
