What is atmPnniIlmiTimerT?
This OID stores the timeout interval in seconds that ILMI uses to poll the peer when the PNNI link is active, maintaining the heartbeat for link continuity. Engineers must balance this value—too long and link failures go undetected, too short and network bandwidth is wasted on polling. Setting this to 10 seconds means the switch sends a keep-alive probe every 10 seconds to verify the peer is still reachable.
