Description: Traffic Shaping for Conn was enabled primarily because the core would lose cells since we were non-conformant cells. Therefore the hardware added traffic shaping per connection. But condition is VI should not be enabled if this feature is enabled.
What is atmIispConnTrafficShapingFlag?
This OID controls whether traffic shaping is enabled on individual ATM connections to prevent cells from being dropped when the system sends non-conformant traffic. Network engineers enable this when they want the hardware to slow down outgoing cells to match the line's capacity rather than losing data. For example, setting this to 'enabled' means the IO card will rate-limit your connection to stay within the contracted bandwidth.
