What is atmCirEmAlarmDataPattern?

This OID holds an 8-bit data pattern (0–255) used to fill frames when the system needs to send alarm indication signals. Network engineers set this to ensure alarm signals contain the correct bit sequence expected by downstream equipment. For example, setting this to 255 sends all 1s in the alarm frames, which some legacy systems require.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.3.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::atmCirEmAlarmDataPattern

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACMIB::atmCirEmAlarmDataPattern.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1751.2.18.5.3.1.6.1 i <value>
