ipMultiPathNextHop
Module: ACC-MIB
OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::ipMultiPathNextHop
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.23.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: IpAddress
Access: read-write
Description:
The IP address of the next hop of this route. (In the case of a route bound to an interface which is realized via a broadcast media, the value of this field is the agent's IP address on that interface.)
What is ipMultiPathNextHop?
This OID stores the IP address of the next router hop that packets matching this route should be forwarded to. Network engineers configure this to direct traffic through specific gateways or paths—different copies of the same destination can have different next hops for load-balancing. Setting this to 192.168.1.254 sends matched packets to that gateway, possibly while another copy sends to 192.168.2.254.
