ipMultiPathIfIndex
Module: ACC-MIB
OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::ipMultiPathIfIndex
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.23.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description:
The index value which uniquely identifies the local interface through which the next hop of this route should be reached. The interface identified by a particular value of this index is the same interface as identified by the same value of ifIndex.
What is ipMultiPathIfIndex?
This OID specifies which local interface (by interface index number) should be used to reach the next hop for this route. This is the core field for multi-path routing—different copies of the same destination can use different outbound interfaces. Setting this to 2 means packets matching this route exit through interface 2 (perhaps the primary link), while another copy of the same destination might use interface 3.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.23.1.3 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::ipMultiPathIfIndex
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.23.1.3.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::ipMultiPathIfIndex.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.23.1.3.1 i <value>
