accStpTopChangeTimer

Module: ACC-MIB

OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accStpTopChangeTimer

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.2.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeTicks

Access: read-only

Description: This timer serves to determine the time period for which hello frames are transmitted with the Topology Change flag parameter set by the Bridge when it is the Root following the detection of a topology change.

What is accStpTopChangeTimer?

ACC-MIB::accStpTopChangeTimer is the duration (in centiseconds) that the root bridge sends hello frames with the topology-change flag set. A higher value keeps the network in a heightened state of alertness for longer, improving convergence but using more bandwidth. For example, a value of 3500 means topology-change notifications are sent for 35 seconds.
