Module: ACC-MIB

OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accSrStpMaxAge

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.25.11.1.13

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

The value of the Max Age parameter when the Bridge is the Root or attempting to become the Root. The Max Age parameter is conveyed to ensure that each Bridge in a Bridged Local Area Network has a consistent value against which to test the age of stored protocol information.

What is accSrStpMaxAge?

This OID sets the maximum age in seconds (range 4 to 3600) that a bridge will retain learned spanning tree information before discarding it as stale. Network administrators configure this identically across all bridges to prevent old routing information from creating loops or transient failures. For instance, setting this to 20 seconds means any bridge information older than 20 seconds is automatically forgotten and relearned.
