accRipNeighbor
Module: ACC-MIB
OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accRipNeighbor
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.5.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: IpAddress
Access: read-write
Description:
A neighbor to whom routing updates are sent, and from whom updates are accepted. RIP neighbors must be on the local network. In the case of an unnumbered link this object indicates the ifIndex of the link the neighbor is connected to.
What is accRipNeighbor?
This setting specifies the IP address (or interface number for unnumbered links) of neighbor routers that should receive RIP updates from your device and from which your device accepts updates. Network engineers manually configure RIP neighbors to ensure routing updates flow only between trusted peers on directly connected networks. For example, setting this to 192.168.1.2 defines that router as a RIP neighbor; on unnumbered links, you instead specify the interface index of the neighbor instead of an IP address.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.5.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accRipNeighbor
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.5.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accRipNeighbor.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.5.1.1 a <value>
