accRipInErrors
Module: ACC-MIB
OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accRipInErrors
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.8
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter
Access: read-only
Description: Number of RIP response and command packets received with errors. Also includes count of packets that could not be handled due to internal errors.
What is accRipInErrors?
This read-only counter tracks RIP packets received with transmission errors or packets that your device could not process due to internal errors or memory constraints. Network engineers monitor this to detect network quality issues, misconfigured neighbors sending invalid packets, or memory problems on the device. For example, a count of 47 malformed packets might indicate a neighbor with a buggy RIP implementation; a rapid spike in this counter warns of immediate problems.
