Module: ACC-MIB

OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accPppLcpMaxTerminate

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.32.2.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

What is accPppLcpMaxTerminate?

This OID sets the maximum number of times (1-255) your device will attempt to cleanly shut down a PPP connection before giving up. Each time you request the link to terminate gracefully, the device sends a Terminate-Request message; this counter limits how many times it retries before forcibly closing. You configure this to prevent your device from hanging indefinitely if the remote end is unresponsive during shutdown. Setting this to 3 means your device will try to politely close the connection 3 times, then force-close it if the remote side never acknowledges.
